Hi, I’m Pavit (a.k.a. Jin), a visiting PhD researcher in the Precision Microbial Genomics group at HZI. I’m a PhD student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
My research focuses on microbiome analysis using metagenomic sequencing, bioinformatics, and machine learning. During my PhD, I study the gut microbiome of infants to identify microbial patterns associated with health and disease.
At the HZI, I will work on computational approaches to study the interaction between mobile genetic elements and their bacterial hosts.
Outside of research, I enjoy jogging, going to the gym, drawing and painting, playing video games, exploring new places, and trying local food.
